Our Company and Team
MACINTYRE PURCELL PUBLISHING INC. was established by John MacIntyre in 2004. John MacIntyre and Martha Walls had the idea for a Nova Scotia book back in 2000. They wanted to buy and read a book about Nova Scotia that offered the skinny . . . the low-down. They wanted to know what people earned, what they spent their hard earned cash on, who and what were the icons, the local slang, and so on. In short, they wanted a book they would read. When they couldn’t find it, they simply went ahead and wrote a book they called the Nova Scotia Book of Everything.
What they found out was that they were not alone – Nova Scotians wanted the book too. Through local writers, the Book of Everything series has taken off across the country.
